Haleyville Middle School National Junior Honor Society is working with the Ladies Auxillary to provide a special Valentine's Day message to the 115th stationed overseas. Each day at break, students have an opportunity to fill out a post card thanking our troops for their service and wishing them well. Carly Banks, NJHS officer, believes this is something that will make a difference as these young men and women spend time away from home defending our country. "I'm just glad we are doing it because I know it will be something special. To receive a note of encouragement from someone you don't even know will make a difference," said Banks. Haleyville Middle School asks you to continue to pray for our troops and their families. We are proud to be Americans!
Classes Being Scheduled for 2012-13 School Year
Planning for the 2012-13 school year is in full swing! On April 2nd, students were given scheduling options for the upcoming year. Parents should review these options carefully. Students will have the option of band or P.E., advanced English and math courses, along with a new addition - an ACT prep class for 8th graders. Requirements and course descriptions are found on each grade level's sheet. These sheets must be signed and returned. We have included links to these forms below. If you have any questions, you may contact Mr. O'Rear at 494-1014.
